GoScubaCandy.com is a site that is all about scuba (and free) diving. As any diver will tell you, we as divers are dedicated to our sport and its’ advancement.
On this site you will find blog posts covering a vast range of subjects related to diving and its’ science and conservation efforts for our planet’s oceans. In addition you will find feature websites with good equipment and information for dive sites that I have visited. I also make it a habit of allowing contributing authors to place articles, and media on this site. Check back often for new stuff!
About the Creator/Webmaster of GoScubaCandy:
Hello there! My name is John Masters. I am a PADI Dive Master currently working in Tempe, Arizona, United States. I love the water, and this is partly my parent’s blame. As a young lad, my parents shared their love of nature and the planet with me; from very early on my mother had me in the water. At age 10, I was on a regulator for the first time in my life. From that day on; diving, and the ocean; would have a very special place in my heart. I have shared this love with as many as possible. For most of my childhood and adolescence, I free-dove. It was not until becoming an adult that I would make the switch to SCUBA. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of diving and the science related to it. I am progressing to become a public safety diver, and am following a career path that will lead me in that direction. As a recreational diver, I love to talk about the water! I always try to blog about new and old experiences. A friend of mine has a saying that I would like to borrow from him, “I’m either a good example, or a cautionary tale…” I created this blog in the spirit of that statement, I hope to share my underwater experiences, and the experiences of those who dive with me. Dive professionals from various sanctioning bodies also contribute to this blog, so be sure to come back often and see what has been posted. The calendar is for any diver who wishes to post information for trips, local meet-ups, or anything else dive or ocean conservation related. It is not sanctioning body, club, or shop/resort specific; so anyone from anywhere in the world may e-mail me details for a posting on the calendar.
And remember: GoScubaCandy ~ ~ Your World. Underwater.
